"He Hideth My Soul"
“With ‘numberless blessings’ each moment He crowns, And fills with His fullness divine. I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God, For such a Redeemer is mine.”
Blessings. Numberless blessings. We have so many blessings
we can’t count them. God’s ultimate blessing is the new life and forgiveness He
gives us through Jesus.
The blessings of God represent His favor, provision,
and presence in our lives. Some key blessings: wisdom, might and honor.
Biblestudytools.com: “Biblical blessings are often
associated with protection and happiness. God's blessings are meant to protect
us, guide us to the path of righteousness, and give us hope.”
In everyday life, blessings we focus on may be family,
friends, a good job, a loving church family. Our hearts may feel blessed
watching a beautiful sunrise, the birth of a baby, or helping a person in need.
We can feel blessed all the time if our hearts are beating for God and our
minds are focused on His love.
Charales Spurgeon wrote: “The rain showers of His grace
are always falling, the river of His bounteous blessings is forever flowing,
and the wellspring of His love is continually overflowing. And just as our King
can never die, His grace can never fail.”
Living in the United States of America is a blessing. Living
in a free land and having the opportunity to live our life doing the work we
want, attending the church we want and living where we want are avenues that
afford us many blessings.
“The best things are nearest: breath in your nostrils,
light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of God
just before you.” Robert Louis Balfour Stevenson, 1850-1894
Take a moment and think about your numberless blessings, for
you, indeed, have many. Write them down. See how rich you are. Thank God for
blessings. Numberless blessings.
By His Grace . . .
